I decided my project for the night would be to upgrade from 8.3 to 9.1 using the GUI and update file. Once the update completed and on reboot, the system hung at "Mounting Local File Systems". After trying letting this run most of this evening (with a few reboots sprinkled in), I decided to do a fresh install with USB to 9.1.
That worked fine. It installed, I configured an ethernet port and was able to get to the GUI. I was then able to auto-import the ZFS volumes and everything looked great. The last thing I had to do was restore my settings. I uploaded the file and the system rebooted...but it never came back up. It gets to the screen where it has F1 F2 and F3, and auto-selects F1. After that it does nothing.
Not sure where to go from here. Is it possible that, since I used a 4gb, USB and the 9.1 uses most of that, that when I uploaded my settings, there just wasn't anymore room?
Thanks,
Dan
