After following the following instructions:-

I am unable to access an SMB share from either Windows (7) or FreeBSD. I have enabled the SMB1 option.

I am able to mount the share in Windows using net use x: but unable to access the drive.

Can anyone suggest how to debug the problem, or suggest what I may have overlooked. I am able to access on another FreeNAS box, but that was set up a long time ago. Maybe the new interface is catching me out.

Are you running 11.2-U3? If so, does updating to 11.2-U6 resolve the issue?

No, I'm already running 11.2-U6.

I suspect I have overlooked something in the configuration.

Hey what error message are you getting if any ? - because I ran into this issue as well (not being able to connect to smb share). I'm not sure if this solution can work for you - under services > smb I added "ntlm auth = yes" under auxiliary parameters and it worked like a charm .. and make sure your typing in the smb share properly.

Hopefully this works for you.
