Unable to create VM

Hello All!

I am trying to create a VM on my FreeNAS. After reading lot of posts, I want to give as many details as possible upfront. Below are the details.

Build FreeNAS-11.1-RELEASE
Platform Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5507 @ 2.27GHz (https://ark.intel.com/products/37100/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5507-4M-Cache-2_26-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPI)
Memory 32727MB

In the below-mentioned post, it is said that Nehalem does not work well with bhyve.

In the BIOS, I ensured that Virtualization is enabled.

The output of the command grep VT-x /var/run/dmesg.boot is as below.
VT-x: PAT,HLT,MTF,PAUSE,EPT,VPID

In one of the posts, I read that Unrestricted Guest (UG) is also needed but I could not see it in the output. Is this a problem?

What do I need to do to run a VM?

With a 5507 you probably need to change to a 5600 series CPU to have VM's work. Anything older than the 5600 series Xeon's have something in their virtualization that is incomplete so Bhyve will not work correctly.

Thanks a lot for the prompt response. I was going through Amazon and found the processor below.

Please let me know if this works. Also if you can let me know how I can validate if this fits into my existing motherboard I want to check that first before buying.
