unable to copy files despite there being free space

I'm new to FreeNAS and I tried to search but it was hard because I didn't know what to search for.

I have a pool on my freenas server that is being shared using SMB. The freenas dashboard says theres 8 tb free but I can't copy over 5 tb of files.

Does anyone know what's happening here?

I'm sorry ahead of time if this has already been answered or if I have broken some rules already.

i disconnected and reconnected the share and it fixed the problem. sorry again.
