Hello everyone,

I am unable to boot any VM I create in trueNAS CORE. After successfully completing the setup, the machine restarts and I get to the "uefi interactive shell v2.2" screen. If I type "exit", as instructed in other posts, I get to this scrambled image:

I have already set the VNC resolution to 600x800.
The image is Debian.12.4.0-amd64-netinst and TrueNAS-13.0-U6.1

Thanks!

Hi, got the same problem, and you will fix this only testing all resolution of VNC, until getting the right one. For me, only the lowest one works

Display resolution is the issue.
As @oxyde suggested, you need to test all the "vnc_resolution" settings.
You can achieve that by editing going into the "Virtual Machines" section and select "Devices" then edit the details related to the "VNC" Device.
I have a "Debian 10" running and it is set to 640x480.
Other version of Debian could use a different display resolution.
