Hello. I am trying to setup a debian VM within truenas core (TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.1.3) with an nvme passed through to the VM with boot priority 1000

I am using the install media debian-12.4.0-amd64-netinst.

I am able to boot the install media, go through the installer it sees the nvme just fine and everything seems to work until the end when its doing its reboot into the OS. I just get hit with the EUFI Interactive Shell and the nvme does not boot.

Trouble shooting: I have seen some posts on this forum people suggesting to set the boot to Legacy Bios in the VM settings. When I do this it does not stick. If I go back into edit it always defaults back to UEFI.

Thanks for your help guys.

Figured it out. I guess I was a dummy.

I wasn't selecting Legacy Bios when creating the VM.

SOLVED.
