SOLVED Ubuntu VM reboots to limited shell

Hi,

I looked around and didn't find anything so I hope I'm not reposting.

I'm running 11.1U3 and want to run an Ubuntu Server VM, I can install from a downloaded ISO just fine and so some configurations then when I reboot, the VM goes to an UEFI shell instead of booting normally.

Is there a fix or workaround for that?

Type "exit" to get from shell to the EFI menu system and navigate to "Boot Maintenance Manager" and then select "Boot from file" to locate and select your grubx64.efi file.

After booting, execute this command as root:
grub-install --efi-directory=/boot/efi --boot-directory=/boot --removable

Reboot to test.
