Ubuntu Server Image stopps with tty?

Hello,

I am trying to start the Ubuntu server image on a virtual environment in Truenas Scale. After Grub the boot process looks "normal", but at the end there is this screen with a blinking cursor and that's it, no matter how long I wait, nothing happens.

What's wrong with the start setup?

The start process should actually end with an input prompt, I can press every key, but nothing happens. When I press Enter, the cursor moves to the next line and that's it

I tried to install via serial console, there is also a stop, after time/date service

How much RAM did you allocate for the VM? I had problems with ubuntu image until I increased the allocation. Post install it seems to work okay with less, but I couldn't get it to install with less than 2GB allocated.
