Scrambled VNC session on fresh installs

Hi all,

i am currently trying to install something else than Ubuntu Server in VM.
But everytime i am booting the ISO image VNC shows a scrambled screen. The ISO i've tried does not have a full graphical installer, but it looks like a higher resolution in CLI mode prevents VNC from proper display.

Ubuntu Server is so far the only one which i got running.
In general it would work because the cursor is blinking and reacts on entering, but i can't see what's going on

Found that one and reducing resolution to 800x600 fixed the problem
