Hi, I have a problem with how the SMB service works.

My NAS is announced with the correct name as expected, inside the windows file explorer, when you browse the local network, but when you try to access the share Windows complains about the name of the share, saying that I need to check the name and that the address of the share may not even exist.

It's not a problem about permissions or access, it's just that I cannot access my share via any name, I always use really simple names without any special chars or anything that could possibly cause problems.

When I access the shares via IP address as with \\1.1.1.1\<share> everything works as expected and without any problem.

What could possibly be the issue here ? I already tried to play with NetBIOS settings but nothing, all the clients are on Windows 10.

There are other settings related to smb announcing or naming shared resources inside TrueNAS ?

Look under Network->Global Configuration. This is where Samba's nmbd can now be enabled.
