TrueCommand Nightly Images Available

Hello community members,

As of today, nightly images of TrueCommand are available on Dockerhub. Feedback, bug reports and feature requests are welcome! Bug reports can be submitted through Jira. Below is a tentative roadmap for the next major release.

Roadmap

• Storage management
  • Pool creation
  • Dataset management
  • Snapshot creation and scheduling
  • Replication and cloudsync management
• ZFS-tailored file explorer
• A new and improved iSCSI export workflow
• Gluster administration UI
• UX design improvements

Not everything from this roadmap is currently available in the nightly images, but that is what will be getting added soon.

Also note that the nightly images are experimental and should not be used in production environments.

The dockerhub tag is just "nightly"

TC just keeps getting betterer .

One thing that's possibly missing from the roadmap is reporting enhacements. I'll outline this in a subsequent thread. I've outlined this in the thread Guided examples on using the API.

@ornias Just a heads up. You can review the UI implementation of Gluster volume creation on the latest nightly builds if you're curious enough. You'll need at least one TrueNAS SCALE system registered with TC. You can navigate to the Gluster UI demo via the cog icon in the app's top bar. Not sure if others might be interested. Perhaps @Basil Hendroff or @Patrick M. Hausen ? Feedback always appreciated.

EDIT: To clarify, the Gluster UI is just a demo. It's not wired to anything... real.
