We are pleased to release TrueCommand 3.0.0!

Notable changes:
  • TrueCommand 3.0 has not passed validation for Clustering, and that feature is expected to be highly unstable in this release. With the current unmaintained state of the upstream Gluster project, consider this functionality deprecated. The clustering feature is scheduled for removal in a future TrueCommand revision.
  • Fleet Dashboard improvements (TC-3076 and TC-3075)
  • Audit logs are updated to protect potentially sensitive user information by excluding specific fields (TC-3012)
  • The Administration page allows configuring when idle user account sessions are automatically timed out.
See the Release Notes for more details.

Thanks for using TrueCommand! As always, we appreciate your feedback!

Wait, wasn't clustering one of the headline features for SCALE?

Correct, which makes it all the more of a bummer when we see what happened with the upstream Gluster project which it built upon. However we have some alternative cluster projects in the early stages now which we will be announcing at a later date. The new stuff I think is a much cleaner solution ultimately and will be far more usable for a wider variety of setups, both small and large.

What did I miss regarding Gluster? I have noticed that development seems to be happening at a less energetic pace recently, but they don't make it easy to follow along...

Fake edit: So it's basically abandoned by Red Hat?

Here's hoping you guys crack this nut. The Gluster experience was never great, but it did fill a relevant niche.

@Kris Moore looking forward to the new clustering options. Also, do you have a moment to reply to my post, as it is related: https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/kubernetes-for-homelabs.114196/post-796650
