Terraform provider

Hi All

I've seen that terraform has released an automatic provider generator based on openapi, as true nas provides it it should be doable. I was going to start tinkering with it and see how it goes, I would not have a problem in transfering it later to ix-systems/true nas. I was wondering if a) makes sense b) there's prior work with this approach c) I am going to piss off ix-systems if I create truenas-terraform-provider?

There already is a TrueNAS provider, although I have not yet had much luck using it.

That is why I was raising the question, I saw the provider, but doesn't seem maintained, so at least I wanted something that is "auto mantenible" based on swagger/open-api. I opened an issue on their github the generator panics with TrueNas Open API.

I have seen this approach (TF provider generated from spec; ex: GCP Provider) work pretty well in handful of other cases and would love to see if happen for both CORE and SCALE. Let me know if there's anything I can do to throw in. Not a developer per se but just hubristic enough to not let that stop me most of the time. ;)

Turns out that the openapi schema generated by TrueNas is broken. I've created a ticket to fix it: https://ixsystems.atlassian.net/browse/NAS-128149
