I just built fresh installation of 11.3 and then applied my saved config (previously 11.2-U7).
After I had the system working, I applied pending 11.3 updates. When the system rebooted, it hung trying to mount root from zfs:freenas-boot/ROOT/11.2-U7.
Well that sucked. So I reinstalled 11.3 fresh again, applied my saved config and got the system working again.
This time I deleted all of the old boot environments, including 11.2-U7. I rebooted a couple of times to make sure everything was still working.
I then applied pending 11.3 updates and was hit with the same "Trying to mount root from zfs:freenas-boot/ROOT/11.2-U7
Any idea whats going on? I can reinstall 11.3 again, but it would seem I'm unable to apply any 11.3 updates.
