Hello together,
as part of my bachelor thesis I am analyzing the effects of different compression levels on different file types. Unfortunately, my virtual TrueNAS system keeps interrupting the copy process at ZSTD19-level. If I lower the level a bit to ZSTD-18, the copy process can be completed successfully to the SMB share. Increasing the virtual memory also achieves no change.
I know that you have to be very careful with this high compression level. However, I would like to know why the copy process is aborted every time. The logfiles of the GUI only show that the system is not reachable for a short time. I have not been able to find a report in the shell that can show me the exact cause.
I would be very grateful for any help!
Mac computer:
CPU: 3.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
RAM: 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Virtual TrueNAS System:
TrueNAS 13.0 Core
2 SDDs 10GB
virtual RAM 8192 MB
many greetings!
