Hello,
I have successfully build my own computer with FreeNAS 8.
To backup the system, I would like to sync the content with an other NAS, which is not running FreeNAS.
It's a commercial system from LG.
Is there a way to let the FreeNAS system do this syncing permanently without using a PC?
Direct from NAS to NAS?
My understanding is, that this is possible with snapshots, but to use this, the other system should also have FreeNAS running.
I made several attempts to use rsync, but I never got a working connection to the other system.
(if rsync would work, I expect that it should work with a cron using rsync.)
I didn't had any success in configuring FreeNAS in a way, that the other system is mounted during boot process.
Thanks for any help.
