After resetting my BIOS yesterday (which doesn't change the LSI firmware) and knowing a good few users here are using the same motherboard, I thought I'd ask what changes people have made to the default settings.

I'm running v2.0 and other than the boot order haven't changes anything. Is it worth tweaking some other settings for FreeNAS?

Thanks

I can't really think of any big changes that I made. I guess you could put a password in if you'd like.
Maybe someone will jump in with sometime else.

Haha :D That's why I had to reset it! I'd put a password on it, and couldn't remember it, so going without one for the time being!!

I disable stuff i dont want/need. Like serial ports and pxe boot rom.

Change the sata settings... Hot plug capapble... Disk type.

Other than that i kept it pretty much as default.... I think :)

I changed the default power button function from instant off, to 4 second delay.

That's generally default already. Curious decision by Supermicro.
