Me and the boys actually had Red Star going in a VM last year. Other than the fact that the default backgrounds were all 640x480, it was not particularly amusing.

This is a screenshot of top cmd (top -S -H), showing Plex with 3 x iPads and a PC streaming. There is no stuttering in playback on any device. CPU temperature is 51 C. So that little Pentium is hard at work, but seems to enjoy it
