Supermicro SSG-5018D4-AR12L suitable for FreeNAS?

We want to buy
SSG-5018D4-AR12L
https://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1U/5018/SSG-5018D4-AR12L.cfm
with big sata enterprise HDD.
But we have some doubt about hardware compability this system with FreeNAS.
Can someone tell us - everything wil be alright or not?

Yes, it'll be big cold/backup storage and NFS fileshare. Xeon D supported by freenas and brand new LSI sw raid?

Xeon D won't be an issue, and if I recall correctly the LSI2116 uses the same controller as the LSI-9201, which is supported by FreeNAS.

For cold storage that actually might be a tad overkill on the processor, but that's a good system from SM nonetheless.
