I have a Supermicro 6047R-E1R36N in which I have replaced the supplied LSI 2108 RAID card with an LSI 9207 HBA. I got this hardware after reading here that it worked well with FreeNAS. The SAS drives were all detected and everything is working well.
I'm building a second box to be a backup target for the production system. I came across the Supermicro 6047R-E1R36L, which has a slightly different motherboard than the E1R36N as well as an LSI 2308 controller flashed into IT mode. I'm trying to find confirmation that this card will work as well as the 9207 but so far have not found anything. Has anyone used this chassis and/or this card as an HBA with FreeNAS?
