I have been searching extensively through the FreeNAS website and nowhere could I find any reference to the SMI-S specification. Microsoft has endorsed this as its defacto standard for Cloud and network computing moving forward. Has there been any thought as to building a SMI-S capability into FreeNAS ?
SMI-S V1.0 was designated an ISO/IEC standard in 2007.
SMI-S V1.1.1 was designated an ISO/IEC standard in 2011.
SMI-S V1.3 was designated an ANSI standard in 2011.
Currently I am unable to take advantage of my FreeNAS SAN with Microsoft's newly released 2012 editions of their System Center and Enterprise Storage management tools.
Any guidance as to where this fits into FreeNAS plans moving forward ?
