Stop reporting corrected bad sector?

I reallocated and excluded one bad sector from one disk of the pool. Multiple HDD scans reported it as a unique event and HDDs are otherwise in great shape.

Every time I boot the FreeNAS server, I get web gui notification plus an email:

New alerts:
* Device: /dev/ada0, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors.

Current alerts:
* Device: /dev/ada0, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors.

I know there is, I corrected it and I am aware of the possible risks.

Is there a way to report increasing sector counts only? If not, could it be implemented?

Keep on having that notification plus email of a corrected error I am aware of it's a bit annoying.

Thanks!

Afaik if you don't dismiss the alert in the GUI you shouldn't get another emails with just this one. You will get the next mail if another alert pops up and the sector error will be mentioned in it under current alerts.
I don't know if you can exclude sectors to be reported by SMART.

Thanks for your fast reply.

I dismiss the alert every single time. It keeps on appearing at reboot.

Yes, it's saved in SMART attributes but there is nothing I can do there.

How often are you rebooting your system?
This one is a offline backup of my main server, I boot at evening and shutdown after backup has finished.

Obviously I run scrub manually as cron can't keep up with such a short time of online period.
