I have a jail running qbitorrent that I've been using for a few years now, but a few days ago when I went to access it, it froze on me, so I restarted the server.

Now whenever I start that jail up, the entire server will freeze. I've tried starting another jail, and that works fine. How can I diagnose/fix this problem? I'm not sure what information I should provide, so I'm attaching the debug information the rules suggested.

Okay, from the debug output, one of your drives are failing. You may want to backup as it says and replace the drive.

Code:
Jan 18 22:05:24 freenas smartd[2401]: Device: /dev/ada1, FAILED SMART self-check. BACK UP DATA NOW!
Jan 18 22:05:24 freenas smartd[2401]: Device: /dev/ada1, 1 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Jan 18 22:05:24 freenas smartd[2401]: Device: /dev/ada1, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors
Jan 18 22:05:24 freenas smartd[2401]: Device: /dev/ada1, Failed SMART usage Attribute: 5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct.

Thats bad, I don't have any replacements and I can't afford to buy one either at the moment. In the meantime, should I turn the machine off to preserve my data?

If you turn your system off and just leave it for an extended period of time that is basically abandoning it and throwing away your data. You need to figure out how to backup your data or get a replacement disk.

Ok, I'll order another HD. Once I replace the failing drive, will I be able to start my jail again properly, or is that impossible to tell right now? I'm not opposed to making another one, but I still had torrents running and would like to keep those or at least the torrent file if anyone knows how.

Question:

You seem to have been taken by surprise that you have a failing disk.

When you fail a SMART test, assuming you have everything configured properly, you'll immediately get a warning message emailed to you from FreeNAS.

Do you not have this configured correctly? This is an important part of protecting your data and properly running your server.

Correct, I don't believe I have it configured properly (I didn't get any email). Once I replace my drive I will definitely fix that. I don't want something to fail next time before I find out something is wrong.
