SSH Drops connections

Hi Guys,

I hope I am in the right section if not then please excuse me.

Recently I am experiencing a strange behaviour of the ssh service on my FreeNas 9.10

I am using putty to ssh to my FreeNas, and when I connect after not more then 30-40 seconds the connection is dropped without any obvious reason.
I`ve tried to change the ServerAliveCountMax & ServerAliveInterval to a higher value in /etc/ssh/ssh_config but without any success.
I`ll really appreciate any help.

It's not a setting off is an active connection that's getting dropped. What is the error when it gets dropped? Your probably have a poor Network connection.

I am not the same network...so poor network is not the case. Where i can see the error message?

Like when it dies do you get a message in putty? You can also look in /var/log/messages to see if it's the ssh sever crashing.

I have no clue what you are taking about by saying it's not the same network. I still think you just have a bad connection or poor wifi.

Please excuse me ... what I meant is that I am on the same network as the FreeNas and there is no issue with the network. I`ve got no error messages in Putty. The screen just freezes for 30-40sec and then message pop-up saying "Network error. Network error. Software caused connection abort." The strange thing is that when I open the shell in the Gui I`ve got the same problem....something caused the Shell GUi to freeze for a couple of seconds and then working normally for couple more seconds.
Update: In /var/log/messages there is nothing pointing to that problem at all.
