So i bought some parts during the black Friday sales to put together a FreeNas. I have a couple of questions. I have 2 extra SSD' and i was thinking about using one for caching but I haven't seen much information about how to actually setup an SSD cache. How would I go about doing that on a new FreeNas configuration. Also is there any special way I should set it up so I can add more HDD's later on without loosing the information already stored on it. Thanks in advanced

Just go into storage management and extend your pool. Add the device as cache.

It is a cache so you don't have to worry about losing data on it. All of the data will also be located on HDD. It just caches frequent and recently used data.

Most likely, what you want to do is a serious waste of time, money and flash storage. Do you have 64+ GB of RAM? If the answer is no, you'll probably hurt performance by adding L2ARC.

The fact that you haven't seen much information suggests you have some serious reading to do. Start with Cyberjock's guide (link is in my sig).
Your question could also be easily answered by reading the manual (conveniently linked at the top of the page).
