Hi all,
A few days ago I recieved an automated email containing:
The following warning/error was logged by the smartd daemon:
Device: /dev/ada0, unable to open device
I rebooted the machine and everything seemed normal again. Then I completed a backup and ran extended smart tests on every drive in the array. I had been running short ones in the past. While none of the drives "failed" the test, a few of them have ATA errors logged. Should I be worried? I do have two new spare drives for this occasion tested and ready to go but I'm not sure if I'm just being paranoid since the errors were logged thousands of hours prior.
I attached the smartctl logs for the 6 drives below if anyone has insight..thanks.
