Slow transfers unable to authenticate

We recently lost the ability for anyone to authenticate into our NAS except for a single Windows box. The slow
transfer speed seems to be a part of the same problem. Don't know the cause for the slow down anyone available to help?
Software version FreeNAS-9.10.2-U1
Server: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz,
Storage: 40 Terrabytes
Memory: 65497MB

I might be getting closer to the problem Samba log shows the following:

2018/01/15 15:40:27.844264, 0] ../source3/lib/util_sock.c:1055(get_remote_hostname)
matchname failed on 192.168.1.244
[2018/01/15 15:40:27.844766, 0] ../source3/lib/util_sock.c:876(matchname)
matchname: host name/name mismatch: 192.168.1.244 != (NULL)
