I get no more than 1.7MB/s downloading using the Jail Plugin for Sabnzbd. The Jail is running on a 6GB/s MSATA 128GB SSD drive.

Even if the max speed is set to 99999999 Kb/s, it will never go over 1.7MB/s. Before using a Linux server with an I5 on the same network/same location I could get the max from my connection 8.9MB/s.

I did a few speed test command line tests from the server to ensure it wasn't the network somehow causing the issue.

Retrieving speedtest.net configuration...
Retrieving speedtest.net server list...
Testing from Technologies Ltd ...
Selecting best server based on latency...
Hosted by Virgin Media (Brentford) [4.86 km]: 32.859 ms
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 42.65 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed..................................................
Upload: 11.46 Mbit/s

Not as fast as I would expect, however, still faster than 1.7MB/s

I thought this might help, so I tried it, but nothing changes.

Set cache as 120MB

I have a Powerline connecting the Internet and the Switch, so I did a quick test to prove it wasn't the network speed;

sent 1,073,971,277 bytes received 35 bytes 13,017,834.08 bytes/sec (12.45MB/s)

top does not seem to be doing much either.

Any ideas or pointers on what i can test/change?

Cheers

possibly ideas...
that file is slower from your server for some reason
your ISPs current route to the server is a bottleneck at the moment

I recently hit a PR download speed 21MBps so the plugin is capable of more.

I would like to agree that it could be the ISP, however from my laptop using the same nzb services;
