Hello,
I installed an Samsung 960 Evo (1TB) NVME Drive in my System, but it won't go faster than about 300mb/s (At least that's what Win 10 shows me).
Transfered about 50Gb of Data (each file about 1-1,5gb in size) to the new Drive. It started with 2gb/s (Ram?) and dropped down to 250-300mb/s after some seconds. I checked the drive in netdata, and it seems like the drive was switching between 1gb/s and 0 all the time. 1gb/s -> 0 -> 1gb/s -> 0 -> 1gb/s etc.
CPU usage was quite low, so this shouldn't be the bottleneck. The SSD should be about 1gb/s write after Cache.
Any Idea what the bottleneck could be? Could this be a performance Problem with SMB?
System: Intel E3-1230 v5, 64 GB Ram, nVidia Connect X4 (SFP28), SSD connected with PCIe x4
