Snapshots can be mounted as a read-only file system and then shared out. This would allow a point-in-time view of the files being snapshotted.
While the sharing can be done in the GUI, I don't see how to mount the ZFS snapshot. The command line looks like this:
mount -t zfs tank/www@zfs-auto-snap_hourly-2012-02-11-1917 /mnt/snapshot/tank/www
What if we add a button to the Storage/Snapshots page next to "Clone Snapshot" button called something like "Expose snapshot" as a CIFS,NFS, etc. share?
