sharing issue

I've got a FreeNAS 8 as a VM under ESXi 4.1u1.

I'm able to setup a 'Unix' share (NFS). However, I also have Windows share (cifs) which I'm not able to access via Win7 Pro.

I've followed the how-to but one thing I wasn't able to do is to add a 'guest' user for anonymous access. Instead of adding a new user, I'm using 'nobody'.

The interesting twist is my Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop AMD64 VM can access the windows share.

Any ideas?

Why were you unable to add a guest account?

Not sure why. I was able to if I run it as standalone but not under ESXi.
