Setting up a new server and would like to use hard drives from the old server

So I am upgrading to a new server. I have a Ryzen 7 1700x literally sitting around doing nothing. I think it's an upgrade because the current server is running an i5 2500k, I'm worried about the transcoding.

I purchased two identical necessities to run as boot drives on the new hardware. Can I install a fresh copy of Truenas and use the hard drives that are already installed in my old server and put the in my new server?

They have all of my data and I don't want to lose it

you haven't included your hardware, which is a forum requirement, but yes.
this is exactly how it's designed. if you do a config backup you can have the same system on entirely new hardware (like if the first crashes).
a zfs pool will import on any OS with a compatible zfs install.
if, however, you dont have a backup...you are always at risk of dataloss.
