I upgraded my previous TrueNAS install, and install went smooth however, when trying to access it, I can't reach it. I can't even ping it on the network. It has an IP from the network, (retained old IP) any ideas?

Welcome to the forums.

Please consider taking a few minutes to provide even vaguely rudimentary information about your system. You have posted the NAS equivalent of "My car won't start, what should I do?"

Some helpful hints for composing a more useful problem report are listed in the Forum Rules, conveniently linked at the top of every page in red.

Among the useful things to know would be, detailed hardware manifest of your system, including especially (but definitely not limited to) the type of ethernet card in use, what your upstream network looks like, what version of TrueNAS we're talking about, and any other information such as whether there are link lights or indications of link in the GUI.

Without some more detail, you are likely to get very low quality answers that are the equivalent of throwing darts at a dartboard blindfolded.

Sorry about that I wrote this in a hurry while researching elsewhere.

My LAN is a basic 192.168.1.0/24 network. This was all working fine for several months, I have an OPNsense gateway with a .1 address. The server itself is just an old desktop with an ASUS motherboard being used for the server. It's only got the base Realtek LAN adapter that comes with the motherboard. I was eventually able to get on to it using the IPV6 address provided. So that parts good now, however the box itself can't seem to ping the gateway still. When looking at the ARP table I see SOME entries, but the main gateway is showing up incomplete. Any ideas?
