Not to put a dampener on your eBay sale, but the hardware isn't exactly "top notch". It's an old system.

Might help to include SMART status of the drives in your listing.

400 quid. lol.

Sir I don't think you're going to get any takers. Recommend you take the hard drives out of the case, put them on the side, take everything else and throw it in the bin for free, then sell the hard drives separately.

Realtek 8111C for the NIC. That's pretty pimp. That's like a guy with semaphore flags standing on your ethernet cable.

Yes the NAS is coming with that MoBo who works perfectly and its more than ok for what should do. Marketing got your minds, kids!
The ECC works perfectly and i dont know what's wrong with the gigabit ethernet controller, you wont get more speed, DrKK
It's not a show off, with "look i put the latest model of MoBo, mate, do you?" and the price for the whole machine is less than the HDD costs.... so ive put the link here (after i asked the moderator, BloddyIron) in case someone is interested.

LOL there is no marketing about it. That machine would cost more to take to the dump than it's worth. Just throw that one away man.

It would make a good pfSense router if you added a couple Intel NIC's.

To be honest it is a good buy for a local, if the drives are good...

You could keep FreeNAS on it and backup to it, pull the drives and reuse the computer for other things like: Non-gaming or Media PC, pfSense router, even a test Machine as I have done with an old Q6600

Have Fun
PS Viewed and commented on using a HP Compaq DC7800 brought for about $20USD, old people and computers can be extremely useful

1. Core 2's are INCAPABLE OF using ECC RAM, so the statement that ECC is functional is 100% FALSE
2. The only parts with any value are the HDDs. Recycle the rest and liquidate the HDDs. You'll get a lot more than you're asking for if you sell the drives individually, and the rest of the gear is just... shit.
