Script for creating datasets for each user imported from an active directory

Hi,
Like it was mentioned in the thread's title, I want to create datasets for a bunch of users that I'll import from LDAP, I want also to change permissions and quota for each dataset.
I've tried to create a pool and a dataset right from the shell but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestion on how I should proceed or how could I use freeNAS without the GUI?

Okay, the problem is that I've never used Python, I've checked out the api but I didn't understand how it works. So there is no other solution ? or should I learn Python in order to create a Python script ?
