hello everybody,

i have a microserver gen8 with 16gm ECC and 3220 processor. i am thinking of adding a SAS controller. I read that the m1015 (or based models) are the way to go.

i wanted to ask if LSI HBA sas9200-16e will be working without issues (after flashing) ?

from what i could here (https://www.servethehome.com/buyers...s-freenas-nas-servers/top-picks-freenas-hbas/) is that the 9200-16i should be okay. but could nto find any comments on the 16e version. only about the 8e. i most likely dont need the 16e but i could get it for almost the same money as 8e/8i versions.

thank you for your help

They're the same thing, just wired to a different spot on the PCB. It will work fine.
