Since upgrading to FreeNAS 11, rsyncd has stopped working properly.
Specifically, when I attempt to connect to FreeNAS using rsync, I see the following in daemon.log
I found the config file at /usr/local/etc/rsyncd.conf and it contains the line:
So I created a file rsyncd.secrets and put in the username/password combination and everything works.
My question is, how can I make rsyncd.secrets persistent or more generally how is rysncd.conf generated? In FreeNAS 9 there was a rsync module where I set the share dirs and users, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore.
