rsync task - log only errors to file on dataset or better - send mail

Hi, i have setup rsync task (freenas doc, use rsync over SSH) from one freenas box to another. Both are freenas v9.3.

I try to setup some logging, that i will know, if something goes wrong. I set to "Extra options:" in rsync task this:

"--log-file=/mnt/volume0/logs/rsync_prenos.log"




All work well, but i want log only errors, if something not rsync to backup freenas.

PS: Ideally, better will be, that error log will be send to "root contact" email, but i do not know, if there is such "future" inside freenas for rsync task. If i get some logs only with errors, i can write some sh script.....

Have any idea how to log only errors?

https://www.samba.org/ftp/rsync/rsyncd.conf.html does have some options for setting the syslog facility and max verbosity, you could try playing with those.
