Replicated snapshopts will not be destroyed automatically

One potential alternative and one that I use (as I agree with winnielinnie) is zfs-autobackup, easy to install on Scale, no need for apt or anything else, and it's vastly more flexible than the UI in Truenas.I have an install procedure somewhere in these forums. It's managing 3 backups (replication), all different kinds for me. Fwiw
