I'm new to FreeNas. I followed the instructions to replace a damaged drive that was part of a raid array. I must have missed a step because when I added the new drive it now appears as its own volume. How to I make the drive part of the raid set again? Anyone who can shed some light on this I would appreciate it. Attached is a screen shot.

Thanks all!

-Tim

The good thing is you are new and it doesn't look like you have any data on your system. You need to pay very close attention to the little details in the user guide as one minor mistake could put your data at serious risk.

The easy way to remove this ada7 is to highlight it and at the bottom of the screen select Detach Volume, and ensure you destroy the data, or make it new (I forget the exact wording). This stuff is in the User Manual, read it.

Now you will be at the same point before you created the new volume and can follow the instructions to replace a drive.
