I hot-inserted a drive (/dev/da22). How do I get it to appear in /usr/local/etc/smartd.conf?

I tried restarted the SMART service via the web UI but that didn't help.

/usr/local/etc/smartd.conf reports that it is generated by etc/ix.rc.d/ix-smartd -- so that could be a hint. How do I get that script to execute? Of course I could execute it manually, but I would prefer the authoritative solution.

Thanks,

Chris

You have to go in and check the box for the new drive in the smart test--this is a known limitation of the UI.
