I really need ideas and thoughts from you guys.

I will use it for Plex server. It should be future proof with 4k streaming. Most material is in 1080p thou. maybe 4 streams at the same time. I will also download a lot of files 24/7. I think I will run som VM's on it. Different Linux OS's.
It will also be connected to OpenVPN service 24/7. I really don't wanna loose to much bandwith. 250Mbit/100Mbit

Any particular thoughts of my choice of build parts (compatibility, power consumption, speed etc.) I would really appreciate advices from anyone

THANK YOU ALL ESPECIALLY THE DEVS FOR MAKING SO MUCH EFFORT

Do you intend to say that you are thinking of building with those parts? If you already bought them and are determined to use them, what else is there to say?

But first I wanna check with more experienced FreeNAS builder + and - with My way of thinking.

I like it. You should be good with all those components and you can always upgrade the RAM in the future if you feel that it is warranted.
I have a Xeon E3 that is a couple generations older and it has handled 3 transcodes without a problem. I am sure that the one you have chosen will be fine.

I am looking between the X10 and X11 boards and thier respective CPUs. While my req are not as demanding as yours, I hope to hear how your build performs so I can get a better guage on what I may need.
