Hi
I have Freenas 8.3.0 32bits running on a Core i3-2100T, an Asus P8H67-I and 8GB of DD3.
I have some problems with a volume constituted of 3 2TB hard drive.

I sometimes get random errors when I try access data on this volume. By access, I mean either copying data on the volume or just reading it (through du for example).
I tried to run several du commands to see whether this was linked to a particular file or directory, but du gets stuck at different point while scanning files and directories.
SMART status of all three drives are ok according to FreeNAS's web interface. And I also scrubbed the volume.

I have no idea where does this comes from.
Could this be a ZFS problem ? An hardware problem ?

Thanks for your time.

Any special reason why you are using the 32 bit version?

Generally the 64 bit version is recommended, especially since the 32 bit version might not be able to use all of your RAM and single processes can only use up to 4 GB of RAM. Also, which drive configuration are you running? RaidZ1?

For the 32bits, I guess I just installed the wrong version at the beginning. :/

For the hard drives, I am indeed using RAIDZ1.

I'd recommend to try the 64 bit version and see if the problem persists.

That is the least I can do regarding the quality of the help provided. :)
Is there any way to mark this thread as solved ?
