raidz "out of space"

Hi,
I am quiet new to Freenas and playing around with it. I have now an error "out of space" while trying to make a 250Gb dataset. The volume has still 2.5Tb free space.
The strange thing is that I deleted the last created dataset and when I try to build it again it also gives an "out of space error"
De volume is a raidz of 3 * 2Tb samsung hd's.

Roger, can you tell us the specific version of FreeNAS you are using? 8.0? 8.01 beta? 8.01 RC1?

Do you have snapshots enabled?

I have RC1 downloaded and installed yesterday. I don't have snapshots enabled.

Hmm I tried a restart, but that didn't help either.

I now exported the volume and reinstalled the volume. First zfs I want to install gives "out of space" with no datasets and 4Tb free :-(
