Hello there,
So, I have a tale of woe and it is firmly centered around my Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 4. It has three drives in what I believe to be (according to the diagnostic files) a RAID 5. In short, the drives are fine but the box is dead. So far it's taken Netgear 5 days to not offer any help.
Which brings me to this question: If I were to setup a FreeNAS box, would it be possible to import the RAID 5 array on my three disks? I believe it is formatted in ext3 (I don't have the diag files in front of me), although it could be ext4. I think it's ext3. If I read things correctly, you can import an ext2/3 disk but would it work for an array? If it helps, everything I see in the diag files points to using the mdtools for Linux.
That's the most important question. The secondary is: Are there any plans (or plugins) for support of IP cameras?
Thanks!
