Yeah I've got a fairly high end PC with a 500GB Samsung Evo, I can push a full 110MB/s to my Windows based N54L microserver.
Regardless, I'm happy with my new speeds, ranging from 55 to 80mb - considering the data is safer, I'm good with that.
I also think 55+ is a bit high for my liking and it's winter here too, summer they will be literally in 10c hotter ambient air, although I don't (think?) that instantly translates to the drives being 10c hotter
Bloody 7200's - not ideal
EDIT: I know it's unlikely - but I don't suppose there's a FreeBSD fancontrol tool is there? I could force the Microserver to ramp up the fan speed.
