Problem with GUI upgrade

Trying to upgrade from 8.3.1-ALPHA-r12712-x64 to 8.3.1-BETA2-x64 via the GUI - After providing local path to the upgrade file, and the SHA txt, the upgrade process seems active for about 5-10 minutes, then disappears, and briefly displays text saying an error occured.

I can't find anything in /var/logs that seems to indicate what the problem is.

Can anyone offer suggestions as to where else I might look?

Upgrades from alpha to anything else - even a beta of the same version number - are iffy at best. /var/log/messages is where any alerts should go, though. That's what displays in the footer log. Use 'tail /var/log/messages' to get the most recent messages.

Yeah - nothing there. I'll try a CD upgrade later.

thoni, back up you config first. You may end up having to rebuild the config regardless, but you should save an old copy just in case.
