Just upgraded to TrueNAS 13.0-RELEASE
I was trying to upgrade to jails, I ran iocage fetch and fetched the 13.0-RELEASE
Then ran "iocage upgrade -r 13.0-RELEASE tautulli"
Code:
iocage upgrade -r 13.0-RELEASE tautulli
Snapshotting tautulli...
Snapshot already exists
Updating plugin INDEX...
Updating plugin artifact...

Branch 13.1-RELEASE does not exist at https://github.com/dropsignal/iocage-plugin-tautulli.git!
Using "master" branch for plugin, this may not work with your RELEASE

then is runs and at the end states this

tautulli successfully upgraded!

However it's only upgraded to version 12.3-RELEASEp5

Plugins are stuck with whatever version they where created with .. that's why I went to manual installs. Much easier to keep the jail itself and it's contents up to date

I am also having difficulty upgrading my jails to 13.0-RELEASE. I haven't had difficulty in the past, but I've been getting an error message after running
Code:
iocage upgrade -r 13.0-RELEASE [jailname]
.

Code:
Upgrade failed, nothing to install after fetch!

I checked and confirmed that I fetched 13.0-RELEASE.

It may be nothing but check your syntax for your upgrade command. The iocage docs list the upgrade command differently that what you posted. I don't know if it matters but it's worth a shot.

After I upgraded to 13.0-RELEASE, I updated the plugin I use (PLEX) and selected to update the jail as well, and when it was completed, the jail was on 13.0-RELEASE-p11. I don't know if that will help you or not....

I tried what was in the iocage docs but still the same result.

I think I figured out why I couldn't upgrade my jails. I was using clone jails instead of base jails.

All my jails are clone jails, that's the default type jail that iocage creates. There has to be something else going to cause your upgrade problem. Run the following command using your jails name in place of jailname and post the output in code tags here.

iocage get all jailname | more

Just an update, I did successfully complete the upgrade of my standard jails. I had one jail where the upgrade was almost instant but the others took a very long time, the last one I did took over an hour and a half to complete.
