hi!

i got this after enabling Power Daemon.
i have a Core2Duo processor and it seems to be unidentified by the system...

[root@thunderNAS ~]# powerd -v
powerd: using sysctl for AC line status
powerd: error reading current CPU frequency: Device not configured
powerd: using devd for AC line status
powerd: error reading current CPU frequency: Device not configured
CPU frequency is below user-defined minimum; changing frequency to 100 MHz
powerd: error setting CPU freq 100: Device not configured

Save Debug got me this :
+ Hardware +
+--------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Machine class: amd64
System architecture: amd64
Machine model: Genuine Intel(R) CPU U7300 @ 1.30GHz
Number of active CPUs: 2
Number of CPUs online: 2
printf: bc:: expected numeric value
printf: stdin:1:: expected numeric value
printf: syntax: expected numeric value
printf: error:: expected numeric value
printf: /: expected numeric value
printf: unexpected: expected numeric value
Current CPU frequency: 0.000.000.000.000.000.00 Ghz
Physical Memory: 3.95 GiB

- bug or should i configure something else ??
- anyone with the same problem and any solution for it?
- is there a GUI or easy way to set things up in order for powerd to work?

thanks in advance!

I don't use powerd options .. Mine is disabled in the Settings >> Advanced tab.. When I run Powerd - V I get this..

Code:

It appears throttling would work if I chose to use it.. is is running even though I don't want it to? BIOS related?

Yes. Start with the Core 2 series the CPUs self throttle down. It can be disabled in the BIOS usually. But not always.

well...
i'd like that to be true, but my Core2Duo seems to be always in full power.
