Possibility of creating SMB share "above" home shares location to be able to see every users home share

I currently have my user home shares on an old Windows Server 2012 box, and would like to move them to TrueNAS, I've had no issue with creating the home share and getting users connected to it, however, I'd like to be able to keep the home shares backed up with the rest of my backups. (done with Veeam)

On Server 2012, I had the homes in D:\Homes\username.
Users could connect to it using \\fileserver\username, and Veeam would take backups of \\fileserver\D$\Homes\ as an administrative user.

I've attempting in TrueNAS creating /mnt/pool0/Homes, and set it as my home share, and user homes are in there under /mnt/pool0/Homes/DOMAIN/username and I can browse them and see what's in there using a CLI, and I tried creating another SMB share (for no purpose other than taking backups) with a path of /mnt/pool0/Homes/DOMAIN, but I can only see the home directory of the user the backup job is running as, instead of every home directory.

Is there a different better way I should be doing this?
